Street Law Centre WA Inc is a state wide specialist community legal centre that delivers legal services to those experiencing and at risk of experiencing homelessness.

Street Law delivers its legal service through its outreach legal clinics. Street Law’s legal clinics are co located at various community service agencies throughout the metropolitan and outer metropolitan areas with pop up legal clinics taking place in regional and RRR areas bi annually. In addition, Street Law has a comprehensive community legal education program and contributes to policy and law reform.

SUPERVISING SOLICITOR (CIVIL)

The Supervising Solicitor (Civil) must demonstrate exceptional knowledge in legal practice commensurate with their level of experience. It is integral to the role that the Supervising Solicitor (Civil) provide legal advice and undertake civil advocacy. The Supervising Solicitor (Civil) is required to support the Principal Solicitor with the supervision of Street Law’s civil legal practice. The purpose of the role is to supervise solicitors, secondees and legal volunteers and to provide legal advice, representation and advocacy to those who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness for Street Law to achieve its mission and objectives.

The position is 0.8 FTE fixed-term maternity leave cover for minimum of 6 months, with possibility of extension and/or potential further contracts subject to funding and organisational needs.

Community Services sector competitive salary offered. In addition to entitlements leave is paid between Christmas and New Year.

Salary packing is available in accordance with Street Law’s salary packaging policy.
