About the service
The Head to Health service model is tailored to the needs of the local community and offers a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support to provide a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for people experiencing psychological distress. Allowing individuals to identify alternatives to presenting to the Emergency Department and gaining support from trained mental health professionals within their community, outside a clinical setting.

Role overview
- Acts as the central point of communication and provides a superior level of secretarial and reception services to young people, clinical and management headspace staff.
- Medical Reception duties including taking incoming calls and directing the caller to the appropriate member of staff
- Appointment scheduling and maintenance of clients
- General Office duties including opening and distribution of mail typing, scanning, filing and archiving
- Assist in the closing and securing of the building at the end of the day.
- Typing of Medical letters to members of the clinical team
- Bulk billing of services to Medicare and electronic batching of vouchers for payment
- General housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe environment for staff and clients
Requirements
- Ideally a Cert III in Medical Administration or similar qualification
- Excellent administration, time management and organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the health /NFP sector with an ability to liaise with people from diverse backgrounds
- Proven record in working closely with and being a successful member of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organisational skills
- Well-developed customer service skills
- Ability to think and act calmly and deal sensitively with distressed people.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills
- Understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality
- Must have good availability
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC
- Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
- A current unencumbered driver's license
