On offer:

  • Part-time (0.2FTE initially, to increase to 0.4FTE) & Permanent

Role overview:

This role forms part of Stride’s multidisciplinary team supporting our NDIS participants.

Provide focused therapeutic supports tailored to meet the needs of individuals accessing services within a community-based mental health care setting. Play a critical role in delivering holistic services to people with persistent mental health conditions as part of Stride’s suite of NDIS supports.

The overall aims of interventions within the program are to:

  • reduce the duration of symptoms and improve recovery outcomes for individuals enabling both symptomatic and functional recovery from mental illness
  • support participants to work towards achieving NDIS goals as outlined in their NDIS Plans.

Requirements:

  • Must have one of the following: AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist OR AASW eligibility/registration as a Social Worker OR Full ACA membership as a Counsellor OR Full ANZACATA membership as an Art Therapist
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality assessment and evidence-based psychological and psychosocial interventions, within a stress-vulnerability and recovery framework, applying trauma-informed practices
  • Demonstrated ability to collaboratively plan and coordinate individualised interventions to meet the needs of people with a mental health condition based on a case formulation approach
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in relation to clients, clinical and non-clinical staff and stakeholders
  • Ability to cope with organisational change
  • Awareness of relevant legislation/policies and issues informing health and other services for people experiencing mental illness
  • Demonstrated capacity to be innovative in clinical approaches
  • Experience in providing DBT informed interventions and trauma informed interventions would be well regarded
  • Technology literate – ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, Mastercare, other Client Management Systems (CMS) and related technology systems
  • Ability to maintain and develop the culture, philosophy, standards, guidelines and policies of Stride and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
  • Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC 
  • Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
