For over 165 years we have been in Victoria assisting people through the challenges of poverty and exclusion address suffering, advocating against inequality and promoting human dignity and self-determination.
Overall, St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria has many arms and services. These include soup vans, education programs, home visitation programs and VincentCare Victoria, which provides a range of services and programs for people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and disadvantage. This includes crisis accommodation, drug and alcohol dependency programs, and housing.
The Call Centre receive over 300 calls daily from people in need throughout Victoria with varying requests for assistance. It is staffed predominantly by volunteers and services the Melbourne metropolitan conferences. It is a necessary contact point for making the Society accessible to people who need us. Without the volunteer’s dedication, commitment and understanding, this team could not carry out the 'Good Works' of the Society.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Call Centre Operator to demonstrate their excellent customer services skills and be a point of contact for those wishing to donate goods to support the ongoing work of St Vincent de Paul Society.
Using your exceptional communication skills you will work with our Drivers, Jockeys and Shop Managers, taking both inbound and outbound calls to both internal and external stake holders. You will bring a "hands on" approach and be a proactive operator who thrives on delivering outstanding service.
