Overall, the group of companies of St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria has many arms and services. These include soup vans, education programs, home visitation programs and VincentCare Victoria, which provides a range of services and programs for people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and disadvantage. This includes crisis accommodation, drug and alcohol dependency programs, and housing.

The allocated Partnering portfolio

This role will partner with the SVDP Conferences and Special Works Programs (Soup Van Operations, Education, Call Centre and Nils).

A little about the Role

This is a unique opportunity to partner with key stakeholders to provide support and advice across all aspects of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, and analysis.

As the Finance Partner, you will be joining the newly formed Finance Partnering team to:

  • ensure accurate financial analysis across the Commercial division of the Group;
  • proactively understand business drivers and provide insightful advice;
  • own and drive the forecasting and budgeting process;
  • ensure the accurate recognition of revenue and expenses;
  • support the development of fit-for-purpose systems and processes.

Crucial to the success of the role will be your client-focused approach to service delivery typified by your ability to quickly establish professional credibility and rapport with a range of stakeholders. Your ability to communicate complex financial information to a non-financial audience is second to none which enables you to establish collaborative working relationships with ease.

You are enthusiastic, highly organised, detail orientated and driven by a commitment to continuous improvement. You will bring a "hands on" approach and be a proactive operator who thrives on great outcomes for your key stakeholders.

More specifically you will have:

  • Proven experience in business partnering, management accounting and reporting preferably in the health/aged care/community services sector, including sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and associated legislation and compliance standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the business
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse information and solve problems
  • Ability to proactively manage workload, organise multiple priorities and consistently meet deadline
  • Preferred experience in Dynamic 365 Business Central, Inlogik Pro-master, Jet Reporting, Magiq, SharePoint or equivalent and expense management systems
