For over 165 years we have been assisting people through the challenges of poverty and exclusion by providing practical welfare support, advocacy and friendship.

Some of our key services include Vinnies Shops; Vinnies soup vans; home visitation; youth programs; education and tutoring; and VincentCare Victoria - which a provides a range of services and programs for people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and disadvantage. This includes crisis accommodation, drug and alcohol dependency programs, and housing.

About the Role

As the People Services team Leader you will lead our dedicated team whilst we transition to new and innovative ways of working. In this role you will be responsible for driving a quality experience across the services and processes to deliver effective HR service centre functions such as HR Administration, people data management, process improvement and system support. In this role you will:

  • Support employee lifecycle processes
  • Ensure that the team provides efficient and accurate responses to queries received from employees, volunteers, members on HR administration matters
  • Ensure the team delivers accurate and timely operations of HR administrative and compliance activities
  • Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance HR admin and compliance processes throughout the organisation
  • Ensure systems and processes are followed, monitored and maintained to ensure the workforce (staff, Members and volunteers) are compliant at all times

A little bit about you

You are a highly motivated and experienced team leader who has a background in supporting the successful delivery of HR administration processes. A focus on delivering a quality experience and continual process improvement, paired with an ability to proactively respond to and anticipate issues that may arise will be an asset to you in this role.

You are enthusiastic, highly organised, detail orientated and driven by your client-focused approach. You are a "hands on" proactive operator who thrives on great outcomes for your key stakeholders.

Additionally, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering end to end employee lifecycle processes
  • Demonstrated experience with technology, HR reporting and dashboards, data management and analysis
  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems, e-recruitment systems and workflows
  • Experience in supporting and delivering projects impacting HR processes and systems
