Your new role

The Team Leader- Case Management is a dynamic and highly rewarding leadership role within Vinnies Homelessness and Housing services. Using your extensive case work knowledge and experience you will provide essential supervision, guidance and leadership to a spectrum of case management services , both in the community and within our crisis accommodation services. This dynamic and varied role does involve travelling to meet client needs, so you must be confident in driving within the inner west & city LGA's.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Motivating and supporting a team of caseworkers to improve the quality & consistency of the case management services provided
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, including representation at local interagency and Domestic Family Violence meetings
  • Understanding budget parameters and where able, present possible strategies for improvement.
  • Keeping up to date with current and leading client management and domestic and family violence practices in order to provide or facilitate innovative and effective case working practices.
  • Travelling to visit clients both at home and within crisis accommodation settings.
  • Implement a 'housing first' model with Case Workers utilising resources i.e., housing assessments and support plans

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in case management/outreach service delivery experience in the homelessness sector.
  • Excellent communication and relationship/stakeholder management skills.
  • Have an approachable manor and the ability to relate positively and confidently with a wide range of people.
  • Good knowledge of women's homelessness, including current practices in the NSW context of responses to domestic and family violence
  • Experience in supervisory role and understanding of administrative, accountability & data management processes.
  • NSW driver licence & willingness to drive around the inner west and inner city LGA's
  • It is a condition of employment that you comply with the Society's Pandemic Policy - COVID-19 and Public Health Orders in order to work in or enter Society facilities. In accordance with our policy, you will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status or a valid medical exemption as part of the resourcing process
