Your new role:

As a Volunteer Experience Lead you will be required to create, drive and implement state-wide strategies to engage volunteers in the Society's programs and services, working collaboratively with the network of volunteer engagement officers across NSW.

Your responsibilities:

  • Implementing Society-wide Volunteer Strategic Plan
  • Leading the Volunteer Engagement Team and supporting learning, development and growth of direct report/s
  • Acting as a critical point of contact across the organisation for leadership, information, strategies and resources on volunteer engagement, inclusion and management.
  • Implementing effective volunteer engagement strategies to ensure they have a sense of belonging, are recognised and valued for their positive contribution
  • Maintaining appropriate policies and procedures for volunteers, and support local compliance with those policies and procedures

To be successful, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s in human resources, learning & development, communications or related areas; or equivalent work experience relevant to the role.
  • Experience working directly with volunteers, developing and implementing volunteer engagement and communication strategies in metropolitan and regional areas
  • Experience leading a small team to deliver positive outcomes
  • Experience working in a membership-based or community organisation to support and empower members and volunteers
  • A NSW driver's licence
