The Role

A permanent full-time role is available at Vinnies REDI.EReturn & Earn depot in Dubbo where recyclable drink containers are counted and sorted onsite using specialised equipment. As Warehouse Production Hand, you will be assisting in the collection, sorting, storage, and transportation of recyclable drink containers. On job training will be provided in using specialised equipment. A current Forklift Licence is required for this role. You will be a strong team player and able to positively engage with customers.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Operate equipment used for bulk sorting of recyclable drink containers
  • Use forklift to empty bins of sorted recyclable containers
  • Operate point of sale system for accurate sales and refund transactions
  • Assist in other activities i.e. housekeeping, maintenance of warehouse equipment, reporting faulty equipment needing repair, etc.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service
  • Experience in using forklifts and a current valid Forklift Licence
  • Experience working within a warehouse and/or production environment
  • Capacity to perform manual/physical tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and independently
  • Thorough understanding of work, health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment
