What's the role about?

Reporting to the Manager - Quality and Safeguarding, we are looking for an experienced compliance professional to gather data on Restrictive Practices and Reportable Incidents and successfully report this data to the relevant internal and external bodies. This role is positioned in Unisson's Practice, Quality and Safety team. In this role you will be working closely with business leaders and stakeholders both internally and externally to achieve business goals.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Consolidate data for reportable incidents and complaints reporting for executive leadership team.
  • Coordinate completion and closure of one day or five -day notifications-reportable incidents to the National Disability Insurance Scheme Quality & Safeguards Commission (NDISC) via the NDISC Reporting Portal.
  • Coordinate follow ups with internal stakeholders to ensure requirements and tasks relating to Reportable Incidents are completed within the timeframe required.
  • Effectively utilise Records Management System and collate data relating to Reportable Incidents and Restrictive Practices for reports for General Manager - Practice, Quality and Safety and CEO.
  • Assisting in the compilation, formatting, and editing of timely reports provided to appropriate stakeholders outlining reporting, compliance, and outstanding actions.
  • Management of the Practice, Quality & Safety general inboxes including myhealth & reportable incidents and complaints.
  • Understanding of the Quality and Safeguards reportable incidents scheme and ability to provide advice on managing reporting requirements.
  • Provide support in managing the Restrictive Practices Panel and associated record keeping.
  • Assist the Manager, Quality and Safeguarding with the internal audit programme and any additional tasks and project support as required.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 3+ years' experience in Disability Sector
  • Strong knowledge of the Disability sector and NDIS framework
  • Experience in reporting data via an online system
  • Excellent Computer Literacy skills including strong knowledge and experience working with SharePoint and Client Information Systems.
  • Tertiary Qualification - Minimum Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
