THE ROLE

As a result of the continued growth of the organisation, a new full-time opportunity is now available for a Full Time Indigenous Business Customer Care & Audit Officer to join our National team in late August 2022.

Working within the Indigenous Business team, the Indigenous Business Customer Care & Audit Officer's overall objective is to ensure the integrity, efficiency and effective operation of Supply Nation’s Indigenous business customer service centre operations and its existing supplier registration and support programs and that Indigenous businesses' needs and enquiries are actioned where required.

The Indigenous Business Customer Care & Audit Officer will also be required to contribute to the development and maintenance of customer care systems and processes, & to ensure that Indigenous Business verification program maintains the highest standard of integrity and authenticity, ensuring respectful communications and accurate collection of data in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.

This role will suit a strong communicator who is process focused with a keen eye for detail and an investigative mind.

Reporting primarily to the Team Leader, Customer Care (with some reporting directly to the Head of Indigenous Business Compliance) the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for fielding and responding to Supply Nation's customer enquiries, engaging with suppliers to obtain relevant information regarding their Business Registration profiles for accuracy and currency & building and maintaining strong relationships with our external stakeholders, namely Supply Nation registered Indigenous businesses, and internal team members.

The Indigenous Business Customer Care & Audit Officer will also be responsible for providing support to Supply Nations Audit, Risk and Certification team by conducting annual and random interviews with, and audits of, company ownership, management, control arrangements of Certified Indigenous businesses with Supply Nation and assisting in conducting Investigative audits and investigative processes when needed.

• Superior customer service skills via multiple modes including face to face, telephone and email communication
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of small to medium business enterprises and business structures
• An investigative mind that does not take information at face value and critically assesses information against a set standard;
• Strong customer focus with superior communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work both in a team environment and independently, displaying a high level of tact, people skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality

Demonstrated understanding of the Indigenous business sector, and previous experience working on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander issues/projects will be highly regarded.
