THE ROLE

As a result of the continued growth of the organisation, a new full-time opportunity is now available for a Full Time Indigenous Business Customer Care Officer ideally based in Perth (WA) to join our National team in late July / early August 2022.

Working within the Indigenous Business team, the Indigenous Business Customer Care Officer's overall objective is to ensure the integrity, efficiency and effective operation of Supply Nation’s Indigenous business customer service centre operations and its existing supplier registration and support programs and that Indigenous businesses' needs and enquiries are actioned where required.

This role will suit a strong communicator who is process focused with a keen eye for detail.

Reporting to the Team Leader, Customer Care the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for fielding and responding to Supply Nation's customer enquiries, engaging with suppliers to obtain relevant information regarding their Business Registration profiles for accuracy and currency and building and maintaining strong relationships with our external stakeholders, namely Supply Nation registered Indigenous businesses, and internal team members.

The Indigenous Business Customer Care Officer will also be responsible for providing support to team members as identified and negotiated with the line manager and to work collaboratively with the Indigenous Business team as required.

  • Superior customer service skills via multiple modes including face to face, telephone and email communication
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of small to medium business enterprises and business structures
  • Strong customer focus with superior communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work both in a team environment and independently, displaying a high level of tact, people skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality

Demonstrated understanding of the Indigenous business sector, and previous experience working on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander issues/projects will be highly regarded.

Suitably qualified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
