Our Community Engagement Services (CES) team is dedicated to supporting and developing the “good works” of St Vincent de Paul Society. As a team, we deliver a range of highly specialised and critical services to the community including Emergency Relief, Financial Counselling, Volunteer and Youth Services.

People seek emergency relief assistance by contacting our call centre - this is where they will be connected with one of our 1,200 conference members across Western Australia, who in turn will provide practical assistance to address their immediate needs.

Your Role

Vinnies Emergency Relief (ER) program is one of the largest in WA and receives just over 200 calls per day and operates between the hours of 9am to 1pm. As the ER Program Coordinator you will provide strong leadership for the Call Centre team and be responsible for the overall management and operation of the ER program.

Critical to the service is the Coordinator's ability to foster a strong team environment to ensure smooth operations. The Coordinator will be tasked with ensuring the program continues to grow through innovative and responsive thinking - continuous improvement will be a key focus.

With the support of our Call Centre Team Leader, this role is also responsible for ensuring that contact centre volunteers and staff are appropriately recruited, trained and engaged to achieve strong outcomes. Database management and data analysis and reporting are also critical aspects of the position.

Reporting to the Executive Manager, this full time (12 month fixed term - with the possibility of extension) position based in Canning Vale WA.

Aside from your extensive experience in managing program operations and your commitment to continuous system and process improvements, your ability to motivate and authentically lead a team will set you apart from other candidates.

To succeed in this role, you will rely on your analytical skills and ability to collate, interpret and report on data which will in turn influence and improve service delivery.

  • Excellent organisation and administrative skills, with high attention to detail
  • Ability to be innovative and improve practices, documents and processes
  • High level of computer literacy
