The role

Southwest Advocacy Association, an independent, community based, not-for-profit organisation who offer advocacy to people with disabilities are seeking applications from suitably qualified persons for the role of Executive Officer.

The key to your success will be the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and develop organisational key performance indicators that will drive business improvement.

You will bring to this role project management, business planning, change management, project planning and implementation skills. Management experience, data interpretation and experience developing strategy and business will be highly regarded.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage the ongoing development and implementation of strategic, annual business and project planning
  • Develop and lead the key performance indicators
  • Lead and develop project methodology and provide project leadership
  • Develop frameworks and reporting to capture analysis and business intelligence
  • Identify opportunities for improvement across the organisation
  • Lead and supervise a team of Advocates
  • Business management and project planning skills as well as capacity for change management.

Who we are looking for:

  • A contemporary thinker with an intuitive nature
  • Broad understanding of Advocacy and what we do
  • Someone with strong relationship-building skills
  • A candidate with relevant skills and/or qualifications in the field and leadership experience.
  • Highly developed communication skills and ability to engage people at all levels
  • Someone possessing strong business management skills
