About SWCASA

The South Western Centre Against Sexual Assault provides a safe place for adults and children who have been impacted by sexual assault or family violence. Our services offers a range of supports such as a 24 hour crisis care response system, individual counselling, support and advocacy for adults, adolescents and children as well as group counselling options.

About the role

The Senior Counsellor/Advocate works collaboratively with the SWCASA Manager to support the centre by providing clinical leadership within the multi-disciplinary team to promote a responsive, high quality therapeutic trauma based service for children, adolescents, adults, older people and their families.

This position is a full time going opportunity for a health professional seeking to advance in their career.

What you bring

As a proficient health professional (Registered Nurse, Social Worker or Psychologist) with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, you will have highly developed experience and skills in delivering specific evidence based therapeutic practice within a rights based framework, provided advanced clinical supervision, and enjoy a disposition for innovative ideas, education and teaching.

Employment Terms and Conditions will be in line with the Nurse and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020, Victorian Public Health Sector (Medical, Scientist, Pharmacists & Psychologists) Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021, or Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Health Sector) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020 with the appropriate discipline classification Registered Nurse Grade 4, Psychologist Grade 3 or Social Worker Grade 3. Applicants of other disciplines with relevant experienced are encouraged to apply.
