About the organisation

Swinburne Children’s Centre is a community based, for purpose organisation offering Early Childhood Education and Care services in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne for over 20 years.

With 120 employees across our four services and our head office in Croydon, we are committed to enabling our children to be the best versions of themselves, helping our families connect, operating as a successful business and keeping our workforce engaged and connected.

Our View Street service is small and inclusive, currently operating with three rooms. It is a community-oriented centre which was rated Exceeding in our 2021 Assessment and Rating visit.

View Street’s philosophy believes in ensuring that children are visible and active in our community. Ensuring that our youngest citizens are seen and heard supports a genuine sense of equality and shared civic responsibility.

Swinburne Children’s Centre is a Child Safe organisation with zero tolerance for child abuse. The wellbeing and safety of all children is at the forefront of all that we do and every decision that we make.

About you

We are looking for experienced, motivated, passionate, and dedicated individuals to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on quality care and education for children, the drive to develop relationships with families and be passionate about creative learning environment for our children, families, and team.

To be considered, you will have:

  • Availability: Monday - Friday between 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • Must hold an ACECQA approved Early Childhood Education teaching qualification
  • Current VIT Registration
  • Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the NQF and the EYLF and/or VEYLDF
  • Current Protecting Children Mandatory Reporting certificate
  • Current First Aid certificate and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates
