About the role

HYPA Homes provides therapeutic home environments for young people with histories of complex trauma, abuse and neglect.

We are currently looking for Casual and Part time Therapeutic Care Workers to support our new Homes in Evanston Park & Nuriootpa. We have multiple positions available.

A fantastic opportunity for Therapeutic Care Worker who will be responsible for supporting young people to:

  • Settle into a home like environment
  • Increase their independent living skills
  • Increase their capacity and links to the local community
  • Achieve their goals and aspirations

These positions are required to work across 24/7 rotating rostered shifts, including sleepovers, weekends and public holidays.

About you

The successful applicant/s will require the following Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completed a Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Certificate IV in Community Service Work, Certificate IV in Youth Work
  • Completed or almost finished Master or Bachelor of Social Work, Masters or Bachelor of Psychology, Diploma of Community Services, Diploma of Child, Youth, and Family Intervention, Diploma of Youth Work
  • Current HLTAID003 Provide First Aid Certificate or equivalent is essential
  • Experience in working with young people with complex trauma is essential
  • Experience in developing case plans and case noting and report writing is desirable
  • Prepared to undergo Psychological Assessment
  • A current Driver’s License and willingness to drive is essential

As such, the successful applicant will either need to be fully vaccinated or hold a valid medical exemption in order to perform the full scope of duties.
