Sydney Dogs & Cats Home is currently on the search for a new Fundraising and Events Executive to join our Fundraising & Marketing team in the new year. This is a newly created position description, designed to support the organisation’s existing Fundraising & Marketing team throughout an exciting transition stage. This small and collaborative team works in a fast-paced environment delivering all day-to-day and upcoming capital campaign fundraising and marketing responsibilities. The Fundraising and Events Executive will support this team with the coordination, development and implementation of Sydney Dogs & Cats Home fundraising and events responsibilities.

We are looking for a communications professional who:

  • Has at least 3 years’ experience, with a high level of competency in all aspects of fundraising and marketing including event coordination and the promotion and delivery of fundraising campaigns.
  • Has currency of knowledge for all appropriate legislation, designated software and related technology required to complete the positions descriptions responsibilities within the workplace.
  • Is compassionate and dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for companion animals and their people.
  • Is comfortable with working both autonomously and collaboratively.

What we are offering:

  • The role will be up to 37.5 hours per week - full time
  • The role will be flexible and include a mix of work from home and on-site hours.

  • Remuneration $65,000 - $70,000 annual base salary range commensurate with qualifications and experience + superannuation and other additional benefits

Key selection criteria:

  • Experience: 3+ years in similar level marketing and fundraising roles.
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, or other relevant area.
  • Renumeration: $65,000 - $70,000 annual base salary range depending on skills and experience + superannuation and other additional allowances.
  • Other: Driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Currency of knowledge: of all appropriate legislation, designated software and related technology required to complete the positions descriptions responsibilities within the workplace.
  • Preferred software and app advanced skills: Office 365 Suite -Word, Excel, PDF, Design – Canva, Adobe, CRM – Salesforce, Website – WordPress, EDM- Mailchimp, Social Media – Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, Twitter, Third Party Platforms – Give Easy.
