Role Overview

SydWest Multicultural Services has a clear mission - to empower individuals of all cultures by offering person centred direct services - and is looking to add a Marketing and Communications Manager to their Executive team.

Our services include Aged Care, NDIS, Settlement Services and other important services and programs for people of all ages. You will focus on taking your marketing and communications expertise and applying it to our mission of empowering people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds to enjoy their best life. Working as part of a lean team, you'll have an opportunity to see programs end-to-end as well as being actively involved in brand planning and marketing strategy, this role has scope for growth.

You will need to build creative and cost-effective campaigns, focus on brand reputation and above-the-line and below-the-line-campaigns. As an immediate start you will focus on the launch of our new brand, website and communications and our continuing digital transformation so you will need experience in delivering projects successfully.

Key Accountabilities

  • Comply with WorkPlan requirements.
  • Drive brand growth, customer acquisition, cross-selling and a fundraising strategy that will propel SydWest Multicultural Services brand.
  • Manage our current digital marketing channels and unlock new scalable digital channels.
  • Manage all internal & external Communication for the Organisation making sure the message is consistent & engaging
  • Develop the key messages and brief PR Agency on strategy and ad-hoc projects.
  • Deliver an effective referral program, taking the digital and non-digital experience into account.
  • Deep customer understanding - creating customer segments and prioritising them accordingly.
  • Delivering targeted and personalised marketing journeys for customer segments.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase brand awareness by promoting our unique selling points.
  • Deep understanding of google analytics and data. Always uses data to test and back up decisions.
  • Provide reports in a timely manner as requested by the CEO;
  • Adhere to Policies & Procedures related to the work being undertaken in order to ensure own & others safety in the workplace.

Essential Criteria

  • 6+ years marketing experience with at least 2 years in leadership position, preferably in a NFP role.
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, management, business administration and/or a relevant discipline.
  • Deep analytical thinking. You're comfortable defining and tracking key business and usage of success metrics.
  • You are a great communicator - you are clear and concise and have a great reputation as a manager, leader and teammate.
  • Has the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office 365, Customer Relationship Management systems, project management systems, and data analysis systems.
  • Can guide and contribute meaningfully to a social media strategy.
  • You are experienced in briefing agencies, creating presentations, post-campaign reports and copy for collateral.
  • Digitally savvy and knowledgeable of Marketing tech stacks that can assist with your department's productivity and experience in managing a digital team.
  • A people person with an empathetic nature who has experience with working with a diverse set of people.
  • Understanding of, or commitment to the charitable sector and or highly regulated organisational setting is advantageous.
  • Satisfactory National Police Check and Working with Children Check required.
