About Us

Over the past 35 years, Synapse - Australia's Brain Injury Organisation, has grown to employ around 160 people. We provide a range of services nationally, including information and referral, specialist supports, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) services, advocacy, housing and targeted research activities. Synapse promotes quality of life, self-determination and choice. Our mission is to ensure the rights of people impacted by brain injury, by connecting knowledge, policy, services and systems.

About the Role

The Project Lead – Content Development will lead a project developing new content for publication on the Synapse website, in print, and for use in e-learning modules. The role is required to develop and monitor the schedule, deliverables, relationships, use of subject matter experts and deliver outputs on time and on budget. The time limited nature of the project means the Project Lead must be skilled in managing competing demands, prioritising work and closing loops to ensure content is approved in a timely manner.

The salary for this role is set at SCHADS award Level 5.2

About You

Essential

  • Degree or qualification in Science Communication, Project Management, Business Administration, Health Sciences or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in managing complex projects with competing deliverables
  • Demonstrated experience in using project management tools/software to track projects
  • Demonstrated experience in content development and publication for a range of audiences
  • Proven experience in managing stakeholder relationships
  • Track record in successfully meeting performance targets
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Ability to understand requirements and lead projects that are time sensitive

Desirable

  • Experience working in the disability, justice, homelessness and/or health sectors

  • Current National Police Certificate.
  • Right to work in Australia
