About Take Two

Take Two is a state-wide service providing high quality therapeutic services to children and young people who have suffered significant abuse, neglect or disrupted attachment and are clients of Child Protection. We work with the traumatised child, and with their caregivers, families and communities. We help them understand the child’s trauma, and how it’s impacting their development and behaviours.

About the Role

The Restoring Childhood Model (RCM) has been funded by the Victorian Government providing therapeutic services to children and young people impacted by family violence. Grounded in evidence informed practice, the RCM will involve specialist intake & assessment, medium term therapeutic support including use of Eye Movement, Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP).

Key Responsibilities

The clinician will provide high quality dyadic and child-focussed parenting clinical interventions to infants, children and mothers affected by Family Violence. Working cooperatively with both internal and external stakeholders will be required in this role.

 About You

  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinician with experience conducting clinical work with children, as well as post graduate training in a relevant field.
  • Someone with strong understanding of the complexity of family violence, service systems, and the issues involved in providing services to our clients.
