We are seeking a suitably qualified Operations and Practice Manager to fill an existing vacancy at Northern Suburbs Community Legal Centre (NSCLC). The aim is to fill a current vacancy that exists in our corporate team.

  • Full-time position (1FTE).
  • Salary $106,380 - $108,760 plus 10% superannuation, salary sacrifice package and excellent employee conditions, including additional week annual leave.

NSCLC aims to provide clients with a service that is specific to their needs. Our team of volunteers and workers are dedicated to ensuring we raise community awareness on legal information, advice and options. We understand that legal and social matters can be complex and often require a combination of legal, social and financial support.

You are a key part of the corporate team working to support and facilitate outcomes across all teams in the organisation, as well as to those we serve and those who are stakeholders in our mission. The Position

The primary purpose of this multi-faceted position is to manage operational matters across several office locations and programs. The position supports continuous quality improvement, accreditation, organisational sustainability and development and service delivery improvement, and will work in close consultation with the leadership team, including the CEO and the Principal Solicitor to achieve NSCLC objectives.

Specifically - 

  • Provide leadership in all aspects of operational management in the organisation, across several office locations and programs.
  • Develop and oversee quality improvement systems, accreditation in consultation with the CEO and Principal Solicitor.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures according to best practice and Accreditation.
  • Oversee implementation on new programs and services, including client survey feedback (collation of information and analysis).
  • Explore organisational sustainability (new models of care; future funding opportunities) and the skills needed to meet those new opportunities.
  • Monitor and audit to ensure contractual and legislative requirements are met, and that services deliver culturally secure and appropriate care.
  • Work with managers to develop written reports as per the funding requirements.
  • Identify existing and emerging skills gaps across all services and develop, implement and monitor initiatives to meet gaps in best practice service delivery.

The Person

The person we are seeking will be a strong operations leader, able to lead a multi-disciplinary team to work towards shared outcomes. You will be able to build organisational capability and be passionate about working with vulnerable groups from culturally and linguistically diverse groups, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.

You will also have strong operational and practice management background, including continuous quality improvement, organisational sustainability and development.

You will have operational management experience at a senior level [minimum of 5 years] with demonstrated experience in operational and strategic planning activities.

The person will hold a Tertiary qualification or the equivalent in related field.
