After Hours Youth Worker - Alice Springs

  1. Access to Education (A2E) is an innovative and unique program that supports Aboriginal children and youth to achieve positive outcomes in education, safety and wellbeing in the Alice Springs Greater Region.

Tangentyere After Hours Youth Services operates from 3 Brown Street Youth Drop In Centre in partnership with ASYASS. Using trauma informed practice and strengths-based framework, the After-Hours Casual Youth Workers will support the delivery of a range of culturally appropriate, diverse and meaningful after-hours support services and activities for at risk youth.

Under the guidance of the A2E Youth Co-ordinator and Youth Team Leader, the A2E Casual Youth Workers will work alongside permanent A2E youth workers and ASYASS staff to provide evening and night time access to a diverse range of safe, fun, creative and culturally appropriate activities young people including discos and other drop in activities at 3 Brown Street.

This role includes utilising youth engagement and leadership skills as well as positive role modelling.
