Local Decision Making Facilitator - Alice Springs

Tangentyere Council Aboriginal Corporation (TCAC) is a community controlled Public Benevolent Institution delivering human services and social enterprise activities for the benefit of Aboriginal people from the Alice Springs Town Camps, Urban Alice Springs and Central Australia.

Led by our Board of Directors, the Office of the Chief Executive (OCE) is working closely with Town Campers to determine Local Decision-Making (LDM) priorities for their families and Town Camp. LDM aims to ensure new and existing government and organisational policies and programs address local priorities and needs, and achieve meaningful and lasting outcomes.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills who is committed to Local Decision-Making and community control. The LDM Facilitator will work directly with the Executive Officer - Strategic Development to facilitate community workshops over 12 months, to support the drafting, negotiation and implementation of first priorities and long-term Local Development Agendas for each Town Camp in a culturally safe manner.

The LDM Facilitator is a part-time role and will work alongside a second part-time LDM Facilitator (one male and female). This role is an identified position only open to people identifying as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

This position requires a satisfactory Police Check and Ochre Card. Please provide a copy with your application.
