Tangentyere Council Aboriginal Corporation (TCAC) is a community controlled Public Benevolent Institution delivering human services and social enterprise activities for the benefit of Aboriginal people from the Alice Springs Town Camps, Urban Alice Springs and Central Australia.
First incorporated in 1979, the organisation was finalist in the 2016 Reconciliation Australia, Indigenous Governance Awards and is one of the 10 largest Aboriginal Corporations in Australia.

The Youth and Community Safety Services (YCSS) Division brings together a range of programs that support Aboriginal children, youth and the community to improve safety, education, health and wellbeing outcomes. The Division includes Brown Street youth services, Town Camp youth services, Patrols and Looking After the Kids (LATK).
LATK is a flexible service model that enables it to adapt to the broader Alice Springs community's needs, work flexibly and responsively to the needs of Town Campers, and provide individualised support to young people. LATK aims to facilitate the safety and improve the well-being of young people who are out late at night. LATK takes a primary prevention and early intervention approach to supporting young people on the street at night and who may be engaging in risky behaviours. The model has three core components – Youth Patrol, LATK Outreach Workers and LATK Case Manager.

LATKs Outreach Workers s work in an integrated way with Tangentyere Night/Youth Patrol and other key services. The LATK Outreach Workers engage, and support identified vulnerable young people who are out late at night. They support them in returning to a place of safety. They proactively provide outreach with young people who have engaged with the LATK or patrol services. Link-in with family that are responsible and/or concerned for the safety of their young people. And provide a connection and feedback point between young people and other TCAC services. LATK is not a transport service, however the LATK Outreach Workers can pick up children and young people at night and support them to return to a place of safety.
