We enable children in Out Of Home Care (OOHC) to achieve to their highest potential. Our Fostering Young Lives program works with children who are in foster carer or kinship carer placements. We support their carers and their birth parents to create a safe and secure environment so these children have a safe place to land. The role is an opportunity to be a part of the Family Partnerships team that works alongside the case management team in Fostering Young Lives. This role will see you work in a team which is driven and friendly and committed to the role.

Your new role:

A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for a Child and Family Practitioner (assessor) to join the Fostering Young Lives program and work within the Family Partnerships team. The purpose of this position is to work across both the foster and kinship carer recruitment and family restoration programs. The position would assist with the assessment of foster and kinship carers, carer development and support. Additionally in the family restoration space the position would work with parents in assessing their capacity to have their children restored to their care and case manage parents who have had their children restored, supporting them through that initial process.

Your new team:

As part of our larger OOHC team, you will work with other Foster Carers Assessors, Case Workers, Senior Practitioner and Team Leader.

You will enjoy on the job training and support from your committed team. When you join your buddy will help you find your feet.

Terms: Full time position based in Hurstville.
