Caring for a loved one is important work. Some days caring brings great joy, but some days it can be lonely or a little overwhelming. No matter how you feel today, our Carer’s Gateway will be just a phone call away. Carer’s Gateway is a new initiative to provide carers with information, support, counselling, and coaching.

As our Connect Partner, you will be the first point of contact for carers wanting to access support. You will listen emphatically to understand the carer’s needs, provide them with relevant information and connect them to the appropriate services. Services aren't provided face to face in this team, but that doesn't mean you won't have the chance to connect.

About you:

You’re a connector, you really listen and understand your customer’s needs and you’re passionate about working with them to get the best outcome. You are a positive and proactive person seeking to grow and excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment who has:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) including cross cultural awareness
  • Demonstrated computer skills including CRM systems

And ideally have two of the below:

  • Certificate III or IV or a Diploma in aged care, community care, disability services, community services or other qualifications in social work
  • Experience working in an organisation that provides health or community services (experience in Ageing, Carers or Disability services will be highly advantageous)
  • Experience in either a call centre or high volume call environment
