An Exciting Opportunity …

To help shape, guide and embed a culture where Quality systems are practiced, continuous Improvement as a way of thinking and prudent Risk Management is a way of working. As well as providing leadership and management of the organisation’s Risk and Quality management function, you will also provide independent oversight as part of the organisation’s corporate governance framework.

The Role….

  • Own and be accountable for the organisation’s risk management framework and driving the delivery of the activities which are set out in that framework
  • Report to the Executive Team and Audit, Finance & Risk Committee on a regular basis regarding the organisation’s risk management register, plans and performance
  • Own and be accountable for the organisation’s quality management system and the activities required to comply with the requirements of the system, including ensuring that the management system is appropriate for the organisation and that it is kept current in the context of changing external environments and legislative requirements
  • Support the organisation to build a culture of continuous improvement, including ensuring there are appropriate frameworks, and tools in place by providing internal consulting services to facilitate process improvement workshops with Operations and other corporate non-Finance functions.
  • Champion quality management and foster a culture of business excellence throughout the organisation, including facilitating organisation wide capability building activities
  • Ensure an effective complaints and incidents management framework is embedded, ensuring that there is appropriate follow-up and resolution of incidents and complaints, and that independent investigations are completed where required
  • Provide leadership and, where appropriate, management of the organisation’s internal audit activities, including delivering independent audits of operations and client service delivery functions as per the agreed internal audit schedule and coordination of self-assurance program.

About You ….

  • A deep background & strong track record in risk management and quality management at a senior level
  • A background in the not-for-profit sector or similar type of organisation with scale and diversity of operations
  • Gravitas and influence to elevate and then maintain the profile / importance of the risk and quality management agenda
  • Strong relationship skills with multiple levels of management – able to work effectively with senior executives and operational management
