Team Leader - Child, Youth and Family - Melrose Park

The Opportunity

As part of the TBS Child, Youth and Family Services team, the Team Leader will ensure their team are positioned to provide exceptional services to children and families so they can feel safe and secure. Working in the Resilient Families programme, the Team Leader will support the Child & Family Practitioners within their team to best deliver programs that support a safe and secure home environment for children.

Based in Melrose Park and covering up to the Murray Bridge area and leading a team of five, you will:

  • Provide clear, supportive, and focused leadership and professional supervision to their team, ensuring consistent framework.
  • Partner with and connect with internal stakeholders to ensure strong delivery of services in line with practice obligations.
  • Promote and build relationships with key stakeholders, including those in the broader community to facilitate referrals and improve outcomes for each family.
  • Deliver strong practice capability and cultural awareness to effectively support families.
  • Work closely with the Manager Child & Family and broader leadership team on monthly case plans, compliance and risk reporting.

About You

With strong exposure to working within the child protection space, you will have previous experience coaching, leading and mentoring individuals.

In addition, you will;

  • Have a track record leading child protection service to improve client services and outcomes.
  • Demonstrate sound management skills including troubleshooting, managing multiple deadlines and conflict resolution
  • An ability to meet KPIs across different areas including portfolios, services, funding and compliance
  • Be comfortable and confident in undertaking risk analysis, decision making and problem solving
  • Hold a relevant degree qualification or equivalent experience a

Please note that the ability to work flexible hours (such as evenings) and weekends is required for this role. A current driver's license and ability to travel is essential.
