I am a young, highly intelligent woman in my mid 20’s and I describe myself as an “intrepid explorer”. I enjoy living a social, active and fun filled life. I have a disability, but I never let that get in the way. I need someone who is energetic, confident, resilient, and organised, who enjoys the outdoors as well as technology and innovation, to join my dynamic team. I love going out and being with friends, going on adventures and holidays. I engage in tertiary level study, am keen to develop my presentation business and kick a few other serious goals, and you would be integral in assisting me to do that.

This position does include helping me with my personal care, grooming and daily tasks, so it is particularly important that you are comfortable with this, it also means that I can only have females on my team… sorry guys.

Two Roles available (can be combined for the right person)

  • ROLE 1 Support me in my day to day needs particularly overnight support from approx. 5pm – 10am. I require someone who is available to stay with me overnight usually 3-4 nights per fortnight.
  • ROLE 2 Assist me to pursue my goals which include tertiary level study, professional development, health and fitness and adventure.

(For overnight support - I am pretty easy going, I just need a hand to do things most people do at night for a nice night in, you get to sleep while I’m sleeping, and I love a good sleep!)

I need you to be

  • A self-starter as well as a team player
  • Reliable and flexible –is highly valued in the role
  • Resilient, adaptable and have a solid self-belief
  • Self-motivated, confident, determined
  • Responsible, have initiative and be proactive
  • Active, fit and energetic
  • A non-smoker

I need you to have:

  • Own transport and licence
  • Police check or willing to obtain one
  • ABN or willing to obtain one if successful
  • Live reasonably near Ipswich / Karalee
  • Solid technology skills and be tech savvy

Ideal candidates have

  • Availability for Mondays, Tuesdays, and alternating weekends as minimum with flexibility for shifts on other days
  • Academic experience to support my vocational pursuits
  • Commitment (18 months + is desirable)

The training period includes roughly 10-12 hours per week on weekdays and weekends. At times there will be the opportunity of extra shifts. Once you finish training, hours will likely increase.
