The Bread & Butter Project

About us

The Bread and Butter Project is Australia’s first social enterprise bakery. We bake premium artisan bread and pastry, whilst providing paid baking training to people from refugee or asylum seeker backgrounds.

Although we operate a wholesale business, as a social enterprise 100% of our profits are reinvested into training, social and career assistance for refugees and asylum seekers. It's a simple but powerful formula - the more bread and pastry we sell, the more refugees we can assist.

We are passionate about good food and making a difference to people's lives in the most practical way – through building skills for meaningful, sustainable employment.

We’re now looking for a dynamic Finance Manager to join our passionate management team and support us in delivering the company’s strategic, operational and social purpose goals
