Role

We are urgently looking for Disability Support Workers to fill positions available in New England: Glen Innes and surrounding areas.

Job Type: Casual / Permanent Part-Time.

SCHADS Award rates and benefits are applicable for the right candidates.

You will provide a range of support services, dependent upon the client's requirements, must be available evenings and weekends.

Professional Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience: previous disability assistance – Behavioural Management / Dementia/ Aged Care
  • Cert III/or IV in Disability/Community Support/Aged Care support or willingness to obtain.
  • Proof of COVID19 Vaccination Requirements being met (including of the validation of the medical exemptions, if any) under the NSW Public Health Order
  • Individual Support Plan knowledge required
  • In-depth understanding of NDIS and Aged Care industry requirements – is a must
  • In-depth person-centred support experience
  • Empathy and the ability to build strong relationships
  • Experience in physical and/or intellectual disabilities and In- home support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have a reliable, registered and Comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Have a current Driver's Licence
  • Own a smartphone with Internet access
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Current Working with Children check
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Valid working rights within Australia
  • Ideally: residing in Glen Innes and surrounding areas or willing to travel to those areas
