The Food Centre was founded in 1990, located at Gepps Cross and is classified as a Social Supermarket in South Australia that provides low cost groceries and household provisions to low-income families and households. The Food Centre, in collaboration with other NFP organisations provides other social wrap-around services such as Financial Counselling, The Good Shepherd No interest Loans Scheme and warm referral for support through other organisations.

We recognise that we need to provide additional support to our volunteers on a day to day basis helping them to engage in meaningful tasks and disciplines. The role will include helping volunteers to integrate and be a part of a very inclusive community within the Centre, supporting, building resilience and confidence of candidates towards paid employment.

In addition, you will take the lead in ensuring our two projects (1) Paddock to Plate and (2) The Community Enterprise Programme activities are active and supported by the Volunteers, collaboration partners and stakeholders. In each instance gather and analyse the Data to support the success of the two projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing and co-ordinate project plans with the stakeholder in collaboration with the CEO and within budgetary requirements
  • Creating and maintaining documented records for all project material and associated contracts and ensuring that these documents are accessible to the CEO.
  • Develop work practices and procedures to ensure that all project plans, methodology and change management practices are consistent and compliant.
  • Responsible for monthly reports including analysis and commentary on project progression to stakeholders e.g. The Dept of Human Services and Wellbeing SA.
  • Contribute to developing policy and procedures for compliance, risk management and operations management.
  • Provide advice and assistance that is relevant to workplace projects.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationship with new and existing stakeholders.
  • If required, be willing to take on additional responsibilities within the organisation.
