Position Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Member & Employer Engagement, the primary objectives of this position are to manage the LIV’s relationship with the Regional and Suburban Law Associations, Diversity Law Associations, employers and support tertiary engagement in conjunction with the Manager LIV Young Lawyers & Tertiary Engagement) to strengthen relationships, promote the value of membership, and LIV products and services, across all areas of the organisation. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and implement an LIV Regional & Suburban Law Association (RSLA) Engagement Strategy, including operational delivery, coordinating RSLA engagement across LIV business Units and maintaining an RSLA (rolling) Calendar of activities
• Build relationships with employers, leveraging established relationships with Regional and Suburban Law Associations across Victoria to support member retention initiatives & drive member growth
• Manage and maintain relationship with Diversity Law Associations on behalf of the LIV
• Implement campaigns highlighting the value of LIV membership and products and service to support all law associations, employers and specialist law associations
• Work with the Head of Member & Employer Engagement and Manager, LIV Young Lawyers to evolve and implement the LIV’s Tertiary Engagement Strategy as it relates to the PLT Program and partnership with Australian College of Applied Professionals (ACAP) 
• Drive growth in the PLT student pipeline on behalf of the LIV, working closely with ACAP as required to identify opportunities and collaborate on delivering solutions
• Deliver on work plans and identified projects as allocated, whilst maintaining a high level of service for business-as-usual activities

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate: 

Essential: 

• Proven experience in initiating, building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders (members, employers, universities, allied)
• Experience driving membership acquisition, retention and engagement strategies to deliver value
• Strong customer focus orientation
• Strong influencing and persuasion skills demonstrated together with excellent interpersonal, storytelling, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
• Strong presentation skills
• Highly developed project management skills and financial experience including ability to plan, implement, follow-through and complete to deadlines.
• Ability to travel to regional Victoria to support engagement activities

Desirable:

• Knowledge of the legal profession, membership organisations and engagement strategies
• Background in the legal profession advantageous
• Relevant Tertiary qualifications highly desirable
