YOUR POSITION WITH THE NATURE CONSERVANCY

A wonderful opportunity for a Contract Coordinator to work with the Australia Business Unit, Asia-Pacific Legal Team & Asia-Pacific Grants Specialist to develop Agreements that support and protect the TNC Australia program of work, while meeting compliance requirements.  The activities include working closely with the Business Unit to draft agreements using TNC templates, review third party contracts, ensure that the required due diligence is performed and that the necessary approvals and sign offs are obtained. 

The Contract Coordinator is also required to develop and review contract related processes and associated training as well as monitor and provide reporting for the Australia Business Unit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Contracts Coordinator will support the strategic priorities of the Australia Business Unit through efficient oversight of business-wide agreement reviews, while providing excellent customer service to project managers and other stakeholders. They will be well versed in the systems and resources utilised by The Nature Conservancy (TNC) in order to execute assigned tasks. They will provide guidance in satisfying administrative and contract requirements based on extensive knowledge of TNC policies and procedures and will provide support and guidance related to their functional area to staff across the Australia Business Unit. They will implement processes and practices in order to improve effectiveness, as needed, and will communicate or distribute information to assist staff in making decisions, solving problems, and improving workflow. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE

  • Work within scope of program’s strategic goals;
  • Act independently on assigned tasks and exercise independent judgment based on analysis and experience, referring difficult questions and unusual problems to supervisor;
  • Coordinate projects with several variables, working within a defined timeline and budget;
  • Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information;
  • Perform non-routine analysis, research and follow-through;
  • Ensure compliance with Conservancy policies and procedures, and external (donor/legal) requirements;
  • Financial responsibility includes purchasing, processing invoices, contracting with vendors, and assisting with budget preparation;
  • May act as a resource to others to solve problems and act in supervisor’s stead when instructed;
  • May supervise administrative and/or volunteer staff, including training and professional development of the staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination
  • Experience coordinating administrative processes
  • Experience generating reports and analysing and interpreting data
  • Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading
  • Experience with business process analysis and improvement
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders in cross-functional teams
  • Experience organizing time and managing several diverse activities to meet deadlines
  • Experience working across teams and communicating with a wide range of people

JOB STATUS

  • Full time- 5 days per week, ongoing
