Our client, Beyond Zero Emissions Inc (BZE), is a not-for-profit research and communication organisation developing solutions for the implementation of climate change mitigation programmes. BZE’s goal is to transform Australia from a fossil fuel based economy to a renewable powered clean tech economy.

Through the Zero Carbon Australia research project, BZE is encouraging the development and improvement of climate change policy that is in line with the latest science. Sharing this research with thousands of Australians via a multitude of external channels, BZE is engaging, educating, and inspiring stakeholders with real and positive solutions to climate change.

As one of the fastest growing NGOs in Australia, BZE is seeking an experienced and passionate Fundraising Manager who can develop and nurture new and existing donors to enable BZE to deliver independent, ambitious research and climate solutions.

The role

Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Fundraising Manager will develop and implement donor engagement strategies and fundraising activities for all donor segments, including appeals, acquisition, retention, stewardship and identifying and cultivating major donors and bequests.

About you

You are passionate about connecting prospective supporters to fund the research that shows how Australia can prosper in a zero-emissions economy. You are skilled at connecting with a diverse group of donors, able to foster and build long term relationships.

In order to be successful in this role you will have;

• Experience in a similar role in successfully managing and growing programs in one or more of the disciplines of trusts and foundations, individual supporters, major gifts, grants, or bequest
• Demonstrated track record of successfully growing fundraising income and developing growth strategies
• Demonstrated experience with digital fundraising campaigns that reach new audiences and grow a supporter base
• Demonstrated experience of developing and growing individual supporter cohort
• Demonstrated experience using insights to make data-driven decisions
• High-level digital fundraising/marketing experience and skills
• Excellent writing skills and ability to target written communication for a specific audience
