Tradewind is currently working with WestCASA, a community based not-for-profit sexual assault counselling service operating in the western metropolitan region of Melbourne for over 30 years. WestCASA provides counselling, crisis response, advocacy, education and training and is located in Werribee with outreach to Footscray, Melton, and the Dame Phylllis Frost Centre (DPFC, a women’s prison) at Ravenhall.

We are accepting applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer who will hold responsibility for the leadership, management and co-ordination of the work of the service, and oversees, with Board direction, its overall operations. All staff are accountable to the CEO directly or indirectly through the Clinical Services Manager and CCU Co-ordinator with direct reports including Team Leaders, Quality and Service Development Officer, Quality Project Officer and a Human Resources Consultant.

To be considered for this position:

  • You will have experience working with Boards and have proven leadership skills in strategy, advocacy and relationship management.
  • You will have an understanding of feminism and be committed to the principles of a feminist service with experience managing community services (direct service and counselling highly desirable) at senior leadership level.
