About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee and drive the success of our Support Coordination and Recovery team. In this role, you will lead a dedicated group of Support Coordinators and Recovery Coaches to deliver exceptional, person-centred services that empower our participants to achieve their goals and navigate the NDIS effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of support coordination services, ensuring compliance with NDIS
guidelines.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to team members to build capacity and deliver quality outcomes.
- Support participant engagement, including initial risk assessments and ongoing plan monitoring.
- Maintain a small caseload to stay connected with participant needs and NDIS developments.
- Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote community collaboration and best practices.
Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate:
Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Experience managing Support Coordination or Case Management teams in the disability or community services sector.
Knowledge and Expertise:
- In-depth understanding of the NDIS framework, Disability Act, and related legislation.
- Knowledge of case management practices and principles, particularly for participants with complex needs.
- Knowledge and Experience in a Support Coordination role.
Communication and Problem-Solving:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage time
effectively and prioritise tasks.
Operational and Compliance Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with quality standards, service agreements, and NDIS obligations. Competence in using digital systems to manage participant records and track funding package expenditure.
Qualifications and Essential Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Disability Studies, or a related field and experience.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
- Valid driver’s licence and compliance.
