We're looking for an Administration Assistants to join the Salvos Stores team.

The role

Come join our Administration team located in Michinbury, NSW, where you will play an essential role in supporting the Salvos Stores ACT retail team, undertaking a diverse range of admin tasks, where no two days will be the same.

We're looking for someone excited about retail, is experienced in Administration and holds a passion about supporting our mission at Salvos Stores.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain filing and record keeping systems as required by all Salvos Stores and The Salvation Army processes and ensure all relevant communications are promptly attended to.
  • Support retail and operations teams in preparation of documentation, spreadsheets and/or any presentations.
  • Provide administrative support to retail and operations personnel in all aspects of site repairs and maintenance processes.
  • Maintain centralised stock ordering process for items and follow all protocols (in line with The Salvation Army policies and procedures) when ordering goods and services on behalf of the retail and operations team and ensure appropriate authorisation limits are adhered to and appropriate financial approvals are sought.
  • Assist People Managers in activities such as recruitment, onboarding, report generation and any other related activity
  • Follow all Occupational Health and Safety guidelines as outlined by The Salvation Army
  • Assist and perform additional tasks / jobs as reasonably required in accordance with established guidelines, processes and / or as required by the Line Manager or Regional Manager.

A little about you:

  • Industry relevant experiences or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar administrative role, where customer service is a strong focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to liaise with a range of different stakeholders.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills with ability to use applications such as spreadsheets, Word, PowerPoint etc
  • Will complete a satisfactory police check
  • Be up to date with our Code of Conduct training, WHS and Bullying and Harassment modules
