THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive Alcohol and Other Drugs Practitioner to be part of the NAODS Non Residential Counselling and CRC Team. You will provide counselling, liaison, support, case management and a range of interventions to assist in improving the health & wellbeing for individuals, family members and significant others experiencing alcohol and other drug related harms.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Evidence based interventions are delivered in line with client centred treatment that aligns with AOD training and qualifications according to complexity of the client and family needs within a recovery framework
  • Case management support is provided to clients in accordance with TSA case management models and standards of practice
  • Individual treatment plans are developed in collaboration with clients and include a range of interventions that address the needs or goals of clients
  • Strong and effective relationships are built with clients and their families, to assist client through treatment using family inclusive interventions

Reporting to the Non-Residential Alcohol and Other Drugs Team Leader this position is located in Bendigo.

HOURS AND SALARY

This is a full time position, 38 hours per week fixed term to 31 December 2022.

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, level 5.

ABOUT YOU

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or related discipline
  • Minimum qualification Diploma Community Services
  • Relevant experience in a social service environment
  • AOD Skillset or willingness to undertake within the first 12 months of commencing employment
  • A current VIC Drivers Licence
  • Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check
  • Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
