We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling, and withdrawal management services).

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven AOD Service Manager who will strategically develop and manage client-centred service delivery, operations and the people of the Brisbane AOD Service to ensure an inclusive workplace is provided in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.

This role will oversee an 80 bed residential drug and alcohol facility with a 13 bed withdrawal management unit onsite and pre and post treatment support options located at Red Hill.

This role will have circa 6 direct reports with a staff team of approximately 30 FTE.

Oversee service delivery ensuring quality service delivery and that participants receive services in a timely manner, appropriate case management, education, support, assessment and referral within a client focused recovery framework, in line with The Salvation Army's (TSA) AOD model of care.

You will successfully:

  • Ensure services are inclusive, accessible and responsive for our diverse participants
  • Deliver of state agendas and operational/local plans aligned to national agendas
  • Oversight of practice and service delivery
  • Establish program specific systems and processes for service delivery and review regularly
  • Manage services in accordance with funding body or contractual requirements and guidelines and service standards
  • Develop and management of program budgets and finances
  • Manage risk in service delivery and operational aspects of program including building and assets
  • Provide line management and supervision of staff

You will have:

  • Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field and extensive management experience
  • Project development and implementation experience in social and community services programs including AOD
  • The ability to lead and support staff and services undergoing change
  • Experience in active membership in community or sector bodies within the AOD sector

This is a permanent, full-time position located in Red Hill, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award Level 7. This is a Monday - Friday role .
