Salvos Stores is an integral part of The Salvation Army. We operate as a professional, commercially-focused retail business, recycling pre-loved goods donated from the public. We have a national retail network of over 300 stores, all of which are staffed by professional, dedicated store teams, and supported by a fully functioning Support Office.

Salvos Stores Mona Vale has a vacancy for the position of Assistant Store Manager, it is a Full Time position under Award rates.

The Store

Mona Vale Salvos Store is in Northern Beach of Great Metropolitan Sydney Area NSW. It plays a vital role in supporting the local community and is a destination for the second-hand retail enthusiasts. This store is within a group of Salvos Stores network in the Northern Beach suburbs.

We're looking for a talented Retail Sales professional with some management experience who loves retails, loves the challenge of recycling, willing to help retail management, and commits to the course of making a difference every day through charities. and we guarantee this is a retail job like no others.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

• Help Store Manager to effectively manage the store and relieve Store Manager when needed.
• Complete sales of goods by operating Point of Sales device.
• Follow policy & procedures for Customer Service
• Assist in achieving store budget and other financial targets.
• Assist in the development and coordination visual merchandising and store presentation
• Collect, sort and price donations as per policies and procedures, ensuring manual handling procedures are followed.
• Willing to take all the work tasks as required.
• Willing to get training regarding the work and any special tasks in Salvos Stores.
• Follow Workplace Health and Safety policy and procedures
• Demonstrate The Salvation Army core values in all work-related activities.

ABOUT YOU

• Previous retail management experience is preferred
• Previous retail experience is required
• Reasonable level of computing and communication skills
• Willing to be flexible to work during weekdays and weekends
• Willing to travel between various retail stores in the Northern Beaches when needed
• Understanding and willing to align to The Salvation Army Mission and Values.
