The Role 

We are seeking motivated cleaners to be responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic environment at the Alice Springs Corps and the Alice Springs Thrift Shop.

Responsibilities include:

  • All areas are cleaned to a high standard, as per provided schedule
  • Urgent cleaning requests are fulfilled, as requested by manager
  • Consumables are replenished, as required
  • Residents belongings are treated with respect and as per policy and procedure
  • Communicate with management regarding Corp and Shop matters including: maintenance needs; damage to property; and any other matters of importance that may affect the efficient running of the Hostel
  • Cleaning is undertaken in line with WHS measures
  • Chemicals are handled as per procedure

This position is located in Alice Springs, NT.


There are 2 part time positions available, 12 hours per week.

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Miscellaneous Award, level 2.

  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar role or strong willingness to learn
  • Demonstrated experience handling chemicals or strong willingness to learn
  • A current First Aid certificate
  • A current NT Working with Children Check
  • Be able to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
