THE ROLE

We are seeking a proactive Coffee shop supervisor to oversight the Corps Café, with a focus on the provision of a high level of customer service. The overall goal of the position will be supporting the achievement of The Salvation Army's mission by creating a supportive, communal environment that encourages the local community to congregate and where spirituality and faith can also be fostered.

Duties include:

  • Supervision of volunteers
  • Preparation and service of snacks and beverages
  • Cash register
  • Assist with stock management
  • Meeting WHS requirements

HOURS AND SALARY

This is a part time position, 21 hours per week fixed term for 12 months.

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Retail Industry Award.

ABOUT YOU

  • A Certificate level qualification in Food Safety Supervision or equivalent
  • Completion of a Barista training course
  • Demonstrated professional experience in food preparation, service and kitchen supervision
  • A demonstrated ability to maintain high quality customer focused service
  • A demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
  • Sound computer literacy
  • WHS - knowledge of work health safety obligations and to practice these in the workplace in line with TSA policy & procedures and legislation
  • A current QLD Drivers Licence
  • Be able to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
