About the role

The Salvation Army is one of Australia's largest providers of alcohol and other drug services. We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling and withdrawal management services). We work to a modern, evidence based and holistic Model of Care which can be viewed here.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a values-driven and proactive Program Administrator, located in St Kilda. This position is instrumental in supporting the program operations and client services provided by  Access Health Primary Health and Harm Reduction Services including 24hr Needle and Syringe Program for people who are experiencing homelessness, AOD and with complex needs across the two sites in St Kilda.

This is a full-time permanent position.

You will successfully

  • Support the Leadership team with the development of key program documents, templates, proformas, brochures & participant resources.
  • Support with contract arrangements, services agreements, partnership arrangements, communities of practice and program working groups.
  • Assist with staff meeting invites and minutes as directed by the manager.
  • Assist with the formatting of key program documents including procedures, manuals, work processes, program guidelines and annual business and action plans as required.
  • Create and support in designing resident and client resources including handbooks, induction material and service information in collaboration with the Homelessness, Youth and Family violence services.

You will have

  • Demonstrated experience in reception/administration responsibilities
  • Well-developed interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise and build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • High attention to detail with proven ability to maintain confidentiality of service users and professionally handle sensitive data and information
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills with a proven ability to clarify roles and responsibilities of self and team members whilst monitor task completion to ensure objectives and priorities are met
  • A high level of knowledge of administration specific skills, e.g. Word, Excel, IT, finance management, security management
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities
  • A current VIC Drivers Licence
  • Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check
  • Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia

Nice to have

  • Relevant Business qualification such as Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Administration (desired)
