The Salvation Army Australia's Family Violence Stream provides a wide range of services around the country to support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer refuge, children's and parenting services, counselling, support, men's programs, accommodation and advice to women and children who are experiencing, or who have experienced, family violence.

We are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive Program Manager to oversee family violence services, accommodation, and associated programs and services to support the journey to recovery for women and children experiencing family violence.

This is a permanent full-time position paid at a SCHADS Lvl 7 Award.

You will successfully

  • Ensure services are inclusive, accessible and responsive for our diverse clients
  • Establish program specific systems and processes for service delivery and review regularly
  • Manage services in accordance with funding body or contractual requirements and guidelines and service standards
  • Responsibility for all operational aspects of the program including building and assets
  • Implement client complaints process, including oversight of incidents, complaints & feedback, and management of complex or referred issues/incidents
  • Build, maintain and evaluate collaborative relationships with external and internal partners
  • Lead continuous quality improvement

The Salvation Army is subject to public health orders. You may be required to provide evidence of vaccine status dependent on requirements.

You will have

  • Degree qualification in social work and/or related field and demonstrated experience
  • Significant experience in managing or coordinating residential care settings - experience in the family violence sector residential setting is an advantage
  • Significant experience in managing and overseeing case management and outreach support services
  • Significant experience in implementing strategy, risk management and human resources
  • Well-developed liaison and communication skills, including the ability to consult and negotiate with relevant leaders in agencies in the service sector and the public
  • A valid NSW Working with Children Check
  • A willingness to undergo a National Police check
