THE ROLE

We are currently seeking values-driven and proactive Support Workers to provide quality care and support to participants of Gold Coast Recovery Services by working effectively and assisting case workers to provide a comprehensive client service in accordance with established procedures and in line with TSA mission.

Afternoon and Overnight shifts in a Residential Rehabilitation facility and/or a 24/7 Withdrawal Management unit based at Eagle Heights-Mt Tamborine.

HOURS AND SALARY

We currently have casual positions available. You will need to have the ability to work on a roster - 7.6 hour shifts operating 24/7

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, level 2.

ABOUT YOU

  • An understanding of and empathy with the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
  • Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drug studies or similar with a minimum of 2 years experience working with people recovering from alcohol and other drug addictions or vulnerable people
  • Available for overnight and afternoon shifts on a 24/7 roster
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Current drivers licence with a LR or higher preferred
  • Current and valid QLD Blue Card
  • Have a minimum of two years clean time (if applicable)
