The successful applicant will provide line management support of case management activities including reviewing assessments and suitability reporting, oversight of referral pathways, data recording, staff performance development and programmatic evaluations. Your people skills will help you in your relationships with staff and stakeholders. In this role you will contribute to the general increase of knowledge and quality skills within the broader Youth Junction service delivery team.
Reporting to the Program Manager, this position is responsible for providing proactive reporting and risk management of services, and will be involved in program development as opportunities arise.
The role will be a full time position to December 2022.
You are an experienced front line manager with knowledge and understanding of youth work practise and the criminal justice system. You want to make a difference in the lives of young people, and to support them to develop and contribute to their community. Benefits include salary packaging.
At The Youth Junction Inc we create and enable paths and choices for productive, resilient and engage young people through strong collaborative and innovative solutions. This is underpinned by our Child Safe Policy.
The Youth Junction Inc became an incorporated society in 1999 and by 2005 was an umbrella organisation for a range of coordinated and integrated services to meet the needs of young people aged 12 to 24 years based out of the Visy Cares Hub in Sunshine, focusing on early intervention.
In the years since the Youth Junction has carved out a space linked to the lead tenancy of the Visy Cares hub, and recognised expertise in crime prevention support services for those aged 15-25 in Western Melbourne. In 2021 our sector has a challenge in responding to increased vulnerability and changing needs of young people. Our ambition is framed by two overriding objectives, ‘young people are the leaders of tomorrow’ and ‘change and growth are important’.
