headspace Parramatta, Mount Druitt and Penrith deliver the headspace Youth Early Psychosis Program. The headspace program offers an “open door”, easily accessible, early intervention service for young people wishing to obtain support for mental health or substance use issues. The headspace Early Psychosis program is a specialist service which focuses on providing comprehensive services to support young people who are at risk of developing a psychotic illness, or those who have experienced a first episode of psychosis.

Role Overview:

The CCT Case Manager aims to support the treating team to make the health system more accessible for young people registered within the service by assisting with ensuring young people are linked into all appropriate services as required.

The role provides support by way of information, resources and pathways, assisting young people to gain access to services in line with care plans  developed by CCT Clinicians and the treating team. The CCT Case Manager will use their ingenuity and broad knowledge of local mental health services in the community to ensure that young people receive appropriate supports in a timely manner. 

Selection Criteria:

  • Certificate IV in Mental Health, Community Services, or other relevant qualification.
  • At least 1 year experience working within clinical, health and/or welfare service and support systems.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of health professionals and young people.
  • Ability to complete referral forms, needs assessments and outcome measures for young people.
  • Understanding of mental health legislation.
  • Well developed technology literacy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.

Even better:

  • Experience or training working with individuals with psychosis
  • ASIST training and/or experience in suicide intervention
  • Mental Health First Aid training
  • Current First Aid certificate
