This is a part-time permanent opportunity (21 hours per week) located in Central Coast NSW. Starting base hourly rate of $43.74 plus super, plus access to generous salary packaging options.

About the opportunity:

As a Case Worker in our Supporting Families Program, you’ll be the guiding light for families with children aged 0-11 years on the Central Coast. Your role will be to provide culturally responsive, short-term support, helping families navigate challenges and build stronger, more resilient futures.

  • Empower Families: Be the voice of support and guidance, helping families set and achieve their goals through home visits, advocacy, and life skills development.
  • Champion Child Development: Support parents in understanding and nurturing their child’s developmental stages, fostering strong and healthy family bonds.
  • Build Community Connections: Assist families in connecting socially within their local community, ensuring they have the support network they need.
  • Deliver Impactful Programs: Lead evidence-based parenting programs that equip families with the tools they need to thrive.
  • Advocate and Refer: Provide crucial referrals to other services, ensuring that children and families receive comprehensive care and support.

Your Qualifications & Experience

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience working with parents, using a strengths-based approach.
  • Expertise in facilitating educational group work with parents.
  • Ability to connect with families in crisis, working alongside them to achieve their goals.
  • Strong assessment and case reporting skills.
  • Experience working with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
  • Current NSW WWCC and current NSW Driver’s license.
